March 2, 2010If you’ve done a shoot with me, you’ll recognize the pose techniques on this video by Ford Model’s, Jennifer Ohlsson. I found it on YouTube about a week ago, and I thought it was pretty good – and a great way for people who are about to be in front of the camera to learn some basic posing.

In addition to documenting the event with photographs, a photo booth is a fun addition for you and your guests to enjoy during the festivities. February 28, 2010One of my favorite things to do when I’m browsing through other photographer’s websites and blogs is to see what they have in their camera bag – which lenses they use the most, what gadgets they love, what they would never go to a shoot without . . . And so, I’ve been inspired by other photogs that I admire to show what’s in my camera bag here on my blog. I’ve also put this info on my “about JaNae” page.
I’m a Canon girl. When I decided to go digital I researched the options available and Canon was the best choice for me. I have purchased most of my gear online at B&H Photo Video and locally at Pixels Foto & Frame. In addition to various gadgets (a couple of tripods, flash mounts, various cords, batteries, etc that I usually don’t use) this is what I have with me at every shoot:

February 27, 2010I had a great time at the bridal event at Talon’s Cove, in Saratoga Springs, on Wednesday night. I met some awesome couples and brides and really enjoyed chatting with the other vendors there. The remodel of Talon’s Cove includes a new wood floor, and expanded outdoor patio area for weddings and events. They are also very excited for the opening of Walter’s restaurant this April. We had the chance to taste Chef Walter’s food and it was amazing! When the restaurant opens I highly recommend making the trip for an incredible meal.
